EMKA at the 16th ADAC Hohenlohe Castles and Palaces Rally

On September 12 and 13, 2026, the 16th ADAC Hohenlohe Castles & Palaces Rally took place. EMKA was once again represented at the event this year as a co-sponsor with a small exhibition stand. Right next to our stand, Olli Hanselmann took part with his Golf 3, packed with trophies from previous races – see the video further below.

The event itself has a long-standing tradition. The first Hohenlohe Castles & Palaces Rally was launched back in 1992; the event usually takes place every two years and is organized by the ADAC local club in Schwäbisch Hall. For the first time, Saturday kicked off with an optional prologue featuring its own classification. In addition, the teams were able to test their timing and coordination between driver and co-driver during a light-barrier training session. A sparkling wine reception, a shared dinner and a separate awards ceremony rounded off the first day of the event.

On Sunday, the participants set off on the main rally route through the Hohenlohe region and as far as the Ostalb district. They could choose between a tourist category, a touring-sport category and a new “No Stress” option without classification. Depending on the chosen discipline, the focus was on driving enjoyment, navigation tasks, regularity and timed challenges, or simply enjoying the route at a relaxed pace.

The finish on Haalplatz in Schwäbisch Hall provided the perfect conclusion to the event. Participants and visitors were welcomed by a varied supporting programme with food and sponsor stands – as well as fantastic musical entertainment throughout the entire Sunday afternoon.

As a manufacturer of high-quality lubricants and with our Classic Vintage Line, we feel particularly connected to the classic car community. We were therefore all the more delighted to support the event as a co-sponsor. Upon presentation of a voucher, each participant received one litre of Vintage Oil from our Classic Vintage Line at our stand, a practical protective bag for safe transport in the boot, as well as an EMKA money box as a small souvenir. In addition, a 5-litre canister of EMKA oil was awarded as the main prize in each of five categories.
